Greensboro, NC – Greensboro Crew hosted High Point Rowing Club for a series of straw boat races on Lake Brandt on a chilly Saturday morning.
What was initially billed as the inaugural duel between rowers from the two clubs was transformed into a series of races between middle school, high school and Masters rowers racing in crews ‘drawn randomly from a hat.’
“This was a wonderful way for our community of rowers to come together and get to know each other,” said Mandy Greene, who coxed the winning Masters boat.
